  • Tempo Happy Hour and Behind the Curtain

    What: Tempo members and friends will gather at Parlour in the North Loop for a happy hour before heading to Behind the Curtain: Dinner at Eight

  • Behind the Curtain: Dinner at Eight

    When: Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 7-9pm

    What: At the historic Minnesota Opera Center, get the inside scoop on Dinner at Eight as opera experts and members of the cast and creative team lead discussions exploring the music, history, and design of the opera. Behind the Curtain: Dinner at Eight will be led by Minnesota Opera President and General Director Ryan Taylor, who will moderate a class with members of the creative team.

  • Minnesota Opera Thriftique at Arc's Value Village

    When: Sunday, March 5 from 7:30-10pm

    What: You don’t need expensive clothes to attend the opera. Join Tempo – the Minnesota Opera’s young professionals group – and Arc’s Value Village Thrift Stores for a night of fashion and fun.

    Arc’s Value Village personal stylists will be on hand to help you pick out clothes and accessories. From cocktail dresses to denim, you’ll find items that fit your personal style. This event is open to people of all genders and there will be clothing in a range of sizes. Perfect Fit by Marina tailoring will be on site to alter your new purchases – at a discount. Light snacks and wine will be served.

    How: Tickets are $25 and go on sale starting Monday, February 6, 2017. A portion of ticket sales will directly benefit Arc’s Value Village. The event is limited to 50 guests – Get your tickets now!

    Bonus: Any items you purchase will support Arc Greater Twin Cities, a nonprofit that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

  • American Composers Forum

    When: Monday, March 6, 2017 at 6pm

    Who: American Composers Forum Members

    What: Please join us for a reception for ACF members at the Minnesota Opera Center in Minneapolis. After the event, members will be invited to observe the Minnesota Opera’s sitzprobe of Dinner at Eight at 7pm. This is your opportunity to connect, ‘talk shop,’ and experience the work of these accomplished artists!
