‘VALENTINO’ IS A TRIUMPH FOR MINNESOTA OPERA!
“‘Valentino,’ the story of ‘a man who lost his way,’ as June Mathis puts it, is surely to make its way into the operatic repertoire…”
Fame is a dangerous dance.

Seduction and scandal swirl in Dominick Argento’s tango-tinged opera about 1920’s film star Rudolph Valentino, an artist discovered and destroyed by Hollywood.
Sung in English with English captions projected above the stage.
A Minnesota Opera New Works Initiative Production.
