Live recording of the world premiere of The Grapes of Wrath is available now!

The Minnesota Opera is proud to announce the release of the first-ever recording of Ricky Ian Gordon and Michael Korie's epic American opera, The Grapes of Wrath. Adapted from John Steinbeck's classic American novel, The Grapes of Wrath traces the heartrending story of the Joads as they flee dust-bowl Oklahoma for the false promise of a better life in California.
 
Digitally recorded during its critically acclaimed world premiere at The Minnesota Opera in February 2007 and boasting a full libretto with production photos, the three-CD boxed set captures the melodic warmth of Gordon's score, the lyrical sweep of Korie's libretto and the unforgettable performances of the original cast, in a performance that Garrison Keillor described as simply "Magnificent."
