Tempo and LOFTrecital proudly present:
A Shuffle Concert!
Join us Saturday, February 11, 2017 for an evening of genre-bending American song! LOFTrecital and Minnesota Opera/Tempo join for their first ever collaboration, celebrating the upcoming world premiere of Dinner at Eight by the Pulitzer-Prize winning composer William Bolcom and librettist Mark Campbell, based on the original Broadway play by George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber. Featuring repertoire by Bolcom as well as other celebrated American composers, this 50 minute salon-style program explores works that raise the question: What is “Classical” music? This event will also grant an exclusive look at the upcoming production, as well as provide a chance to mingle with members of the artistic team.
This is a champagne cocktail party, so bring a bottle of bubbly and we’ll provide the liquors to sweeten up your glass. Light hors d’oeuvres will also be served. Cocktail hour begins at 6:30pm and the program begins promptly at 7pm. LOFTrecital is FREE, but seats are limited to the first 100 people.

What's a Shuffle concert?
If you’re new to the SHUFFLE idea; each program order will be determined by the audience in the moment from our prepared set list. No more sitting and listening quietly to a pretty program. At LOFTrecital, we want you, the audience, to be an active part of the performance.
