Sheila has been designing for theater, film, and Television for over 35 years. Recent opera credits include Dead Man Walking for the Vancouver Opera and Ariadne Auf Naxos for Pacific Opera. She has just finished designing the second season of the television series SIX for the History Channel, a pilot called The Trustee starring Laverne Cox for ABC Network and the series Imaginary Mary starring Jenna Elfman also for ABC Network. She is the recipient of thirteen Jessie Richardson Awards for Costume Design in Vancouver as well as a past recipient of two Canada Cultural Arts Awards and two Vancouver Foundation Awards. Sheila studied Shoe and Handbag design at Cordwainer’s College in London,England (now a part of the University of the Arts, London) and holds a City and Guilds Certificate from the City of London. Whilst studying in England she also completed a handmade shoe apprenticeship at John Lobb Shoe and Bootmaker which holds two Royal Warrants. She has also earned a M.F.A. from the University of British Columbia.
