A weekend with the The Minnesota Opera, the Minnesota Orchestra and

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra

SATURDAY, APRIL 19
Three options for Saturday morning:

1) For Elementary Music Educators
10:30am-1:00pm

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra
Xplorchestra! Performance at Wayzata Community Church
Sydney Forte, girl explorer, played by audience favorite Vera Mariner, will lead you on an adventure into the sights and sounds of the orchestra's instruments.
Performance followed by lunch and a workshop for elementary music educators led by Joanna Cortright.

2) For Secondary Music Educators
8:45am-12:30pm

Minnesota Youth Symphonies
Highland Park Jr./Sr. High School, St Paul
Attend rehearsals of the MYS Symphony and Repertory Orchestras, Manny and Claudette Laureano, conductors.
Rehearsal followed by lunch and a Q-and-A session with the Laureanos.

3) For Secondary Music Educators:

9:00am-12:00 noon
The Minnesota Opera: Project Opera rehearsal.
High school musicians under the direction of Dale Kruse and Minnesota Opera staff.
Includes lunch, discussion and a tour of The Minnesota Opera Center

Saturday afternoon:
Explore Downtown St. Paul, home of the Science Museum of Minnesota, the Children's Museum, the Schubert Club Instrument museum and more.
Special promotions for workshop participants will be available.

Tuition:

Workshop only: $150

Workshop plus one graduate credit: $250

Meals:

Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner, Sunday lunch included in tuition.

Tickets:

Tickets to all performances included in tuition.

Transportation:

Transportation between workshop venues may be provided depending on interest. Indicate if you would be interested in this option. It will not change your registration fee.

Housing:

Indicate if you would be interested in information for hotel locations and rates. All hotel costs will be at the participant's expense.
